As we begin building our lives and home together, we cannot help but think of those less fortunate. We've recently been asked for gift suggestions by friends and family. Please know that your presence on the day of our wedding is more than enough, but for those who have expressed an interest, we’d like you to consider donating to a charity close to our hearts, Medical Mission at Home (MMAH) .
Most of you know Tina works for a local Jacksonville nonprofit hospital. She’s very passionate about her job and was fortunate enough to be on the development team to bring MMAH to Jacksonville over 6 years ago. This is an opportunity to provide a medical mission right here in our own backyard.
The Medical Mission at Home event delivers free medical care to those with limited access to care and who are struggling the most in our Northeast Florida community. This free community health event gives low-income, uninsured and the underinsured populations access to needed health services, including:
- Medical care
- Health screenings
- Behavioral health
- Dental care and oral hygiene
- Follow-up appointments and referrals
- Prescriptions at no cost
- Vision services
- Hearing screenings
- Foot washing
- Spiritual care
